Man charged with murder after assault in Birchington
Kent Police attended following an altercation in Station Road
Kent Police have confirmed a suspect has been charged with murder following the death of a man who was assaulted in Birchington.
The force were called to reports of an altercation in Station Road at 1.49pm on Saturday 9 March 2024.
A man in his 40s was taken to a London hospital, where he has since died.
Rashko Kurtev was already charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
The 31-year-old, of Park Avenue, Birchington, was further charged with murder in relation to the incident.
He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Saturday 15 June and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday 18 June.
