Kent Police have charged a suspect with attempted murder after a victim was seriously injured in Chatham.

The force confirmed a man was assaulted by two men inside a property in Luton Road last week on 20 February.

The man suffered an injury consistent with a stab wound before the suspects left the premises, allegedly in possession of the victim’s mobile phone and a quantity of cash.

The victim remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

On Friday 23 February, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised a charge of attempted murder against Aakeem Kelliot.

Max Alexander was charged with assault by beating.

The pair were further charged with conspiracy to rob, along with Martin Lilly and Jacqueline Manners.

Kelliot, 32, and Alexander, 39, were remanded in custody to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 22 March.

Mr Lilly and Ms Manners, both aged 38, were conditionally bailed by Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 24 February, to the same hearing.
