Man charged with attempted murder following assault in Dover

A man has been charged following a serious assault in Dover.

Kent Police was called at 12.30am on Monday 20 May 2024 to a report that a man had been assaulted outside an address in Biggin Street and had sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the victim was airlifted to a London hospital. He has since been discharged.

Charged

Enquiries were carried out at the scene and a suspect, believed to be known to the victim, was arrested shortly afterwards.

On Tuesday 21 May, officers from East Kent CID charged Robbie Dunn, 23, with attempted murder, robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

Mr Dunn, of no fixed address, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 21 May and was remanded in custody.

His next hearing is at Maidstone Crown Court on 17 June.
