Man charged after series of burglaries in Canterbury
It includes £7,000 worth of cigarettes and tobacco being stolen from a business on St Stephen's Road
A Canterbury man's been charged after a series of burglaries in the city.
38-year-old Scott Barham of Beckett Avenue is facing five counts of theft, and four counts of fraud, following the incidents in late October and November 2023.
It includes approximately £7,000 worth of cigarettes and tobacco being stolen from a business on St Stephen's Road on Saturday 28 October.
Other reported incidents include a car being stolen from a home in Canterbury, and a bank card being stolen from another house and used to pay for items from supermarkets.
Barham also faces an additional charge of attempted burglary in connection with an incident at a house in Coyner on 7 October.
He's been remanded in custody, and is set to appear at Canterbury Crown Court next month.
