Man arrested after boy's death in Folkestone crash
49 year old from Dymchurch detained on Thursday evening
A man's been arrested by police investigating a crash in which a boy aged seven died.
It happened in Folkestone at 5.35pm on Wednesday (6th December) at the junction of Sandgate Esplanade and Prospect Road.
One of two vehicles involved in the collision had left the scene before emergency services' arrival.
An appeal was made yesterday for that driver to come forward.
Last night officers from the Kent force arrested a an aged 49 from Dymchurch in connection with the incident and he's being questioned this morning.
Detectives would still like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.
