Man arrested after reports of sexual assaults in Folkstone

The assaults allegedly happened in bars in Tontine Street

Kent Police have confirmed a man has been arrested after several reports of indecent exposure and sexual assaults in bars in Folkstone.

The force say they were called to Tontine Street on Saturday (25 May) evening after a man allegedly exposed himself and assaulted several women by touching them over their clothes.

Officers attended the scene and located and arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the incident.

He remains in custody while enquiries continue.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Ally Franks said:

"We believe there may be further victims that we would like to speak to, so I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or believe they may have been assaulted to get in touch."
