Licence review for 'Dreamland' in Margate after teenage drug overdoses

One 17 year-old girl died and 21 others were hospitalised at a gig last month

Dreamland in Margate faces a licence review, after a recent drum n bass gig, during which a 17 year-old girl died from a suspected overdose of MDMA.

2\1 other teenagers were hospitalised.

It happened on Saturday the 29th of June, at an event called 'Worried About Henry'.

At the time, Kent Police declared a major incident.

The force has now requested specific conditions are imposed on the operator's licence.

They include formally cancelling all drum n bass gigs, increasing security and all under 18s at other events being accompanied by an adult over the age of 25.
