Knife suspect charged with attempted murder in Maidstone

A suspect has been charged with attempted murder, after a violent assault in Maidstone.

Kent Police was called shortly before 3am on Sunday 1 September 2024, to a disturbance at a property in Fairmeadow. Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds. He remains there in a serious but stable condition.

Three people were arrested and an investigation is ongoing. Haidon Tomlin, 18, of Fairmeadow, was later charged with attempted murder and remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 3 September).

A 37-year-old man has been released on bail, pending further enquiries, and a 20-year-old woman was released, with no further action.
