A Kent wildlife hospital whose patrons include Hollywood star Johnny Depp and late singer Jeff Beck is warning that it faces imminent closure.

The Folly Wildlife Rescue centre near Tunbridge Wells was founded over 30 years ago by Annette and Dave Risley.

It treats more than 3,500 injured, orphaned and distressed wild animals and birds every year.

The site is expensive to run due to its veterinary equipment and needs between £20,000 and £30,000 per month to stay afloat.

A JustGiving page has been set up to save the centre and has already raised over £85,000 of its £250,000 target.

The centre are implementing emergency measures from the 30th September in order to stay open while they focus on raising essential funds.#
