Kent Police has referred itself to the police watchdog following a fatal crash involving a car its officers had been pursuing.

A motorcyclist died when their bike was hit by a car at junction 30 of the M25 in West Thurrock in Essex at around 11.40pm on Sunday night (April 14th).

Officers confirmed the vehicle had been involved in a pursuit with Kent Police vehicles prior to the collision.
