Kent man appears in court accused of terrorism offences

The charges come in relation to distribution of publications last year

A 22-year-old man has appeared in court accused of terrorism offences.

Mohammad Ahmad Malik was charged with three counts of distributing a terrorist publication yesterday, Counter Terrorism Policing South East said.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court today and was remanded into custody.

The charges come in relation to distribution of publications in June, July and November last year.

Malik, from Gillingham, is due to next appear in court at the Old Bailey on January 31.
