Kent hay bales fire deemed 'Suspicious'

After hay bales were alight, firefighters were called to the Upper Road area in St Margaret's at Cliffe, Dover at around 7pm.
Two fire engines attended and crews used main jets to extinguish approximately 100 hay bales that were on fire.

Residents in the St Margaret's at Cliffe area were being advised overnight, to keep their windows and doors closed due to heavy smoke.
The fire service said there were no reported injuries .
