Investigation launched after 'corrosive substance' thrown at group in Rochester pub garden

It's reported two of the victims were also punched

Kent Police is investigating a reported assault with a corrosive substance at a Rochester public house.

The incident happened in the garden area at Ye Arrow in Boley Hill, at around 10.15pm on Saturday 13 September 2025.

The victims, three men and a woman, were at the back of the pub when two men they did not know approached them.

It is alleged two of the victims were punched and the group had a corrosive substance thrown at them.

Officers attended alongside emergency services and a man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

The other victims received treatment at the scene and an investigation is underway.

Officers are urging any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them.
