Woman dies in house fire in Kent

Crews confirmed four fire engines were called to the blaze

A woman has died in a house fire in Kent.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed four fire engines were called to the blaze in Sharon Crescent in Walderslade yesterday (10 June).

Firefighters say a cat was also found deceased.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The cause of the fire has been linked to smoking materials."
