A Kent charity has told us the government's plans to reduce disability benefits could potentially have 'catastrophic' consequences.
Yesterday the Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall announced that the eligibility parameters for the main disability benefit would be narrowed.
They're part of changes aimed at saving 5 billion pounds by 2030.
Tim Cook is from Autism South East, he said: "There is an awful a lot of fear amongst the disabled community and people are very worried about the impact and loss of their support.
"You've got to bare in mind that a lot of these people aren't living well, a lot of them will be leaving on the margins, with a lot of them suffering with fairly pronounced mental health issues
"And, the anxiety associated with change, and the perception of reduction of support is having a very profound and potentially catastrophic impact on their mental health conditions."
