A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of a 15-year-old who has been left in a vegetative state after jumping into the water off a pier in Margate.

Jack Dolan had attempted a front flip when jumping off Stone Pier on 23 June.

His family say he suffered serious injuries, was left with brain damage and has a neurological movement disorder.

An MRI scan has shown there to be no brain activity and is currently in the process of being moved to palliative care.

The fundraiser said the money raised would be going towards the family trying to find a suitable home for their sons needs.

It also said his life support was removed yesterday (3 July).

The teenager is described as "the biggest joker, with a heart of gold".

It states "His life expectancy is very limited but unknown. No one can predict how this goes.

"Jack is dystonic, he is in pain which they will hope to manage, But he has no quality of life but if he doesn’t pass Lisa will take him home in the near future, he will remain on palliative care and Lisa will be trained to care for him until the end."
