A free webinar is being offered to help people across Kent make informed decisions about their care, rights and future planning.

It’s on Wednesday 19 November and will cover everything from mental capacity and consent, to lasting power of attorney and end of life care.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) is teaming up with Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust to offer the webinar, and provide experts that will be on hand to answer any questions.

The session 'Future-proofing your care: Your voice, your wishes, your choices, your rights' will take place from 18:00-19:00.

It is open to everyone, whether you’re thinking about your own care, supporting a relative, or simply want to understand more about how key decisions are made.

Annette Martin, Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults at KCHFT, said: “Planning ahead and understanding your rights can make a real difference – not just for you, but for the people you love. This session is about helping people feel confident to make choices and have their voices heard.”

Attendees will have the chance to hear directly from experts, explore real-life examples and ask questions in a supportive environment.

The event is being held as part of National Adults Safeguarding Awareness Week, a campaign which aims to help people feel safe, supported and empowered to make confident choices about their care and wellbeing.
