Kent Police has obtained a closure order for a flat in Gravesend which was at the centre of antisocial behaviour and drug dealing.

Officers have been repeatedly called to the property on the High Street in recent months, following reports of drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.

In response, officers went to Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Friday and applied for a closure order to prevent anyone entering the property.

A three-month order was granted, meaning anyone found going in and out of the property could be arrested and face further action.

Officers visited the flat the same day and it was boarded and locked up to prevent anyone breaching the court order.

PC Jo Hammond said: "We are committed to doing everything we can to tackle antisocial behaviour and will not hesitate to take similar action when persistent crime from one household blights the quality of life for everyone else."
