Firefighters tackle house fire in Faversham

The fire is under control and crews are making good progress

Kent Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed dozens of firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a residential property in Faversham.

Crews were alerted to the fire in Salters Lane in the early hours of this morning (10 August).

Four fire engines, a height vehicle, a command support unit, and a technical rescue team remain at the scene of the house fire. The fire is under control and crews are making good progress.

Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service are also in attendance.

The earlier advice for residents near Salters Lane in Faversham to close windows and doors has been lifted, however people are still urged to avoid the area.

There were no reports of any casualties and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
