Arson attack at derelict school in Chatham
Firefighters were called to the small fire yesterday (9 June)
A derelict school has been deliberately set on fire in Kent.
Firefighters were called to the small fire at the former St John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School site, in Chatham, yesterday.
Four fire engines attended the former school in Ordnance Street and extinguished the fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "There were no reported injuries and the cause was deliberate".
The former secondary school is set to be demolished under plans put forward earlier this year for more than 100 new homes.
