Kent Fire and Rescue Service have saved a dog that fell into a storm drain in Faversham.

Officers were first alerted to the missing dog on Saturday afternoon (July 20th), and discovered that the dog had somehow made its way into the storm drain.

The fire and rescue service arrived at the scene and was able to open the cover of the drain to find Bramble inside.

Due to being too deep for a traditional entry and rescue, Kent Fire and Rescue Service resorted to lowering a large bag for the dog to climb into.

After successfully getting into the bag, the dog was lifted from the drain and back to safety.

Bramble was checked over for any potential injuries, where it was determined that he was unhurt and able to return to his owner.

In a statement, the service lightly joked: "It was a ‘ruff’ walk for Bramble after he ran into a drain in Faversham."
