Delivery driver 'pushed down steps' in Deal

Police have made an arrest after the incident

A delivery driver has suffered serious injuries after he was reportedly pushed down more than a dozen concrete steps in Deal.

The victim, in his 60s, was delivering a food order to a property in Diana Gardens at the time of the incident on Saturday night (February 10th).

He was taken to hospital with multiple injuries to his head and back, where he remains.

Police were called to the scene at around 7.20pm on Saturday and arrested a man on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He has since been released on bail until May 11th.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident outside the property or has CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist with the investigation.
