Cyclist seriously injured after crash in Hythe
Police are appealing for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Hythe.
The collision involving an ice cream van and a cyclist took place at around 5.55pm on Sunday 28 July.
The van had been travelling towards Folkestone when it collided on Seabrook Road, with the bicycle that was travelling in the direction of Hythe at the time.
The cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 48-year-old man from Dover has been arrested in connection with the collision and was taken into custody while enquiries continue.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses and anyone who might have dashcam footage taken in the area at the time of the collision to come forward.
