Two children in hospital after being hit by a car

They remain in a serious but stable condition

Two children are in hospital in a "serious but stable condition" after being hit by a car in Kent.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the incident between a white Hyundai and the two child pedestrians, aged five and eight, in Ashford at around 4pm on Monday.

Officers were called to the incident in Moatfield Meadow, Kingsnorth alongside paramedics.

The two boys were taken to a hospital in London, and the road was closed until around 10.30pm.
