Canterbury motorcyclist dies after fatal accident

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the road between Canterbury and Sandwich.

Shortly before 1pm on Friday 19 July, a collision involving a motorcycle and a green Range Rover took place on the A257.

The collision happened between Littlebourne and Wingham, near the junction with Cherville Lane.

Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist was flown to a London hospital. The 58-year-old man from Canterbury sustained serious injuries and has since died.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened, or has dashcam footage of the collision or the moments leading up to it.
