Appeal for witnesses after Folkestone assault

Police are looking for witnesses after an assault in Folkestone on Tuesday 12 November.

Paramedics and police were called to the top of the steps between Foord Road South and Grace Hill, near the roundabout with Foresters Way shortly after 6am.

A man in his 40s suffered a head injury and had to go to hospital after being assaulted by an unknown man.

The suspect is described as around 5ft 7ins, in his early to mid 30s, white, of slim build, with short dark hair and a beard.

He was wearing a blue tracksuit and is believed to have been seen speaking loudly into a phone shortly before the incident.

An investigation is ongoing and officers are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to get in touch.
