Appeal following Folkestone assault on New Year’s Day

Police in Folkestone are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with a broken arm following an unprovoked attack on New Year's Day.

Officers were called to Tram Road at 3:30 in the morning.

A suspect, reportedly not known to the victim, left the scene before help arrived. Officers attended along with paramedics and a man in his 30s was taken to a local hospital.

Investigators are trying to identify a man who was in the area at the time who is described as white, with short blonde hair and wearing a red motorbike jacket and dark trousers.

Anyone with information, including mobile phone footage, is being urged to come forward.
