Police in the Highlands are searching for a missing veteran who went walking in the Glenfinnan area.

Paul Conway travelled from Newcastle by train on Tuesday 10 September and was last heard from around 6.40pm when he contacted his family after arriving.

The 67 year old had planned to walk from Glenfinnan to Inverie in Knoydart, but did not arrived as expected on Friday 13 September.

He is described as being around 5ft10, of stocky build with shaven silver hair.

Paul is believed to have been wearing a green Paracore waterproof jacket with a hood, camouflage green shorts and walking boots, carrying a dark bergen-style bag and two walking poles.

Sergeant Katy Duncan said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Paul’s welfare, and efforts are ongoing to trace him.

“If you think you’ve seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please get in touch with us.”
