Evacuations and cancellations in Inverness following gas leak
A freight train leak has led to upheaval in the city centre

Buildings in Inverness were evacuated and railway lines closed after a gas leak from a freight train.
Gas distribution firm SGN responded to a gas escape from a train carrying tanks, later thanking all those involved for their patience.
Police Scotland said they were alerted to a "a gas leak from a train in Inverness" at about 10.25am.
It caused disruption around the Millburn Road and Academy Street areas for those in the city centre, with the Eastgate Shopping Centre and Morrisons evacuated as a precaution.
Network Rail said that the issue had been caused by a freight train at Inverness Depot.
Later they updated with news that the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service had stopped the gas leak with all lines re-opening as of 1.30pm.
Following the closure of roads and the evacuation of some homes in the centre, Police Scotland later stood down the alert at 1.20pm.
Chief Inspector Judy Hill, area commander, said: “We would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as we worked alongside partners to ensure the area was made safe.”
