Motorcyclist seriously injured in A9 crash in Sutherland
A car and bike collided on Saturday morning
An air ambulance was called out to take a motorcyclist to hospital following a crash in Sutherland.
A Peugeot 2008 and a Kawasaki motorbike collided on the A9 at Dunrobin, by Golspie at around 10am on Saturday, 30th September.
The 49-year-old male rider of the motorbike was taken by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries.
A 58-year-old man who was driving the Peugeot was uninjured. He was arrested in connection with a suspected road traffic offence.
The road was closed for around seven hours being re-opened around 5pm.
Witness appeal
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this crash and appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that may assist to come forward.
“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then please get in touch.”
