Ross County manager Derek Adams has called for his team to build on their Celtic Park performance when they travel to Livingston.

Second-bottom County are looking to put a nine-point gap between themselves and basement side Livi - but a home win would put a very different accent on the relegation battle.

County have not won in six matches, but Adams was encouraged by their display in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Celtic when his side hit the bar and came close to snatching a late equaliser.

"We have got to do much of the same as we did on Saturday," he said. "We have to create openings and play on the front foot. That's what we did at Celtic Park.

"We played in a way where we caused Celtic trouble at times and we have got to do that on Tuesday night."

Adams named six January signings in his team at Parkhead including four debutants - Loick Ayina, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Teddy Jenks and Brandon Khela.

"When you take in new players to any club it's about getting them started as quickly as possible," he said.

"I'd have preferred to start them against a different team but to see the standard it was important to start them and it could have gone one of two ways.

"They had a good understanding of the game and that's good going forward."
