29-year-old man arrested in connection with Nairn assault

A man has been arrested in connection with the assault of a man and a woman in Nairn.

The incident took place yesterday evening at Court House Lane at around 6:50pm

Pictures posted on social media showed how the area was cordoned off last night, with a heavy police presence in attendance.

Police Scotland say enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson said: “A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault of a man and woman at Court House Lane in Nairn which happened around 6.50pm on Tuesday, 18 June, 2024.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
