A woman has been sentenced after stealing from shops in Droitwich.

Faye Jackson, 51, of Mulberry Tree Hill in Droitwich, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court yesterday (October 13) where she was given 56 weeks in prison.

On Tuesday 7 October, Jackson was arrested by Droitwich officers following thefts from Waitrose, Tescos and Drinks Express and subsequently charged with three counts of theft from a shop and breaching her CBO.

Sergeant Cathy Atkinson, of Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The impact that shoplifting has to our community should not be underestimated. It is not just the financial loss that it brings to some businesses, it is also the impact it can have on staff members.

“We will continue to work closely with shops and businesses to provide specialist crime prevention advice, and we remain committed to bringing those responsible before a court”.
