Worcestershire hospice set to launch celebration garden next week

Hundreds of handcrafted snowdrops are set to be planted in Worcester next week as part of a celebration garden.
St Richard's hospice are holding a launch event next Friday for the occasion, where people in the city can come to celebrate and reflect through the sculptures.
The display, which features the hospice’s floral emblem, comes in the charity’s 40th year caring for patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.
Campaigns manager Laura Clarke says it's been great seeing people get involved with the idea in the past, and they're expecting the same again this time around.
She said: "We are now in our seventh year of doing the celebration garden, so we put this on in the city centre each year, and it's a place where people can go to celebrate and remember loved ones.
"In previous years we have done bees, dragonflies, butterflies, last year was sunflowers, and this year is our 40th anniversary, so it felt right that this year's sculpture was a snowdrop, which is the flower that features in our emblem.
"The snowdrops are one of the first flowers to appear after winter, so they symbolise hope and remind us of brighter days to come."
The flowers will be at the Hive in Worcester until the 26th August.
