Storm Arwen has brought gusts of almost 100mph, causing road closures, train delays and power cuts across the UK and Worcester Cathedral is no exception.

Part of roof over the north choir aisle was extensively damaged overnight on Friday (26th November).

The Bishop of Worcester showed the damage (photo above) on Twitter, commenting that he hoped it "won't be regarded as an act of God!"

He also said the damage was caused by the winds bringing a large stone from the tower onto the roof.

Elsewhere three people were killed during the storm on Friday as trees were blown over.

It's also affecting the output on our tellies as I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! was cancelled last night because the production base at Gwrych Castle in North Wales suffered significant damage during Storm Arwen on Friday night.

Tonight's show is also cancelled as the stars have been removed from the castle while work is carried out to get the production base back up and running.

It is understood the celebrities will individually return to quarantine to ensure they remain Covid secure and they will then be back at the castle once the whole production is safely re-established.

Well in the aftermath of Storm Arwen, the UK is now dealing with snow and ice warning amid freezing conditions among much of the UK.

There's a small chance Worcester will see some of the white stuff later this evening, and temperatures will struggle to reach any higher than 4 degrees Celsius.
