Woman injured in collision with car in Worcester

A man in his 30s has been arrested

Police are investigating a collision between a car and pedestrian on Deansway in Worcester on Saturday (21 June).

Officers were called out at around 5:20pm after getting reports a car mounted the kerb and collided with a 27-year-old woman who was later taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with life threatening injuries.

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and being unfit to drive.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and we would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to come forward and help with our enquiries.
