Officers are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the Malvern Road in Powick on last night (15 February).

At around 6.45pm a black BMW car was in collision with a pedestrian. Sadly, a 70-year-old lady died at the scene.

PC Mark Hyett, Operations Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are very much with the families involved.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dash-cam footage".

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen what happened to get in touch.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find the pedestrian, an elderly woman, to have sustained life-threatening injuries. Ambulance staff administered advanced life support to her at the scene.

"Unfortunately, despite the best efforts it became clear that nothing more could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene.

“The driver of the car did not require treatment.”
