Police launch appeal for information following fatal collision on A456

Police in Worcestershire are appealing for information following a serious crash on the A456 on Saturday (October 19th).

Officers were alerted to the incident in the Wassell Grove area of the county heading towards Halesowen at around 1:15pm.

The crash, which involved an Audi E-Tron, VW Passat, Ford Fiesta and Skoda Fabia, resulted in several people suffering serious injuries.

A woman in her 40s, who had been the driver of the Audi, was pronounced dead at the scene, while a young girl in the car was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Two men aged 25 and 27 have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

West Mercia Police are now asking that those who may have any relevant information can get in touch with the force as soon as possible.

In particular, anyone who was driving on the A456 close to where the incident took place, is being asked to come forward with any potential dashcam footage they may have.
