Trains between Hereford and Newport disrupted by Storm Claudia

Rail replacement buses are in operation from Hereford, Shrewsbury and Newport

The rail line between Hereford and Newport has closed due to heavy Rain and flooding caused by Storm Claudia.

Transport for Wales say trains services running through the stations will be cancelled, delayed or revised.

They added that they have organised rail replacement buses at Newport, Hereford and Shrewsbury.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

There are also no trains running between Hereford and Worcester Foregate Street today (November 14) due to storm Claudia.

An amber weather warning for rain is in place across Herefordshire until 11:59pm tonight.

A separate yellow weather warning for rain is in place until 6am tomorrow (Saturday 15 November).
