Up to £40,000 of jewellery was stolen in Welland
Officers from the Neighbourhood Crime Fighting Team (NCFT) in South Worcestershire have arrested three men in connection with the burglary of up to £40,000 of jewellery from an auction house in Welland, Malvern.
Two men – aged 51 and 52 – are in custody on suspicion of burglary from the premises on the Merebrook Industrial Estate, and another, aged 46, is being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary. All three are from the Worcester area.
NCFT officers went out in the early hours of yesterday morning, to make the arrests in relation to the high value burglary of jewellery.
They are continuing to conduct investigations around the crime and have travelled to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter as part of their enquiries.
Sergeant Shaun Blackshaw of South Worcestershire NCFT said: “We know these are high value and distinctive items of jewellery including diamond and other jewelled rings, bracelets, expensive watches, necklaces, and rare coins.
“We would advise anyone who may be offered these not to buy them but please contact us to report their whereabouts.”
