The world's largest Primark store in Birmingham will be the home of a temporary vaccine clinic from Friday 13th August until Monday 16th August. The walk-in clinic will offer shoppers a quick and easy opportunity to get their first or second Pfizer jab.

The Pfizer clinic is open to anyone aged 16 or over having their first vaccination, or their second vaccination eight weeks after. The opening times are;

  • Friday 13th August - 10am to 7pm
  • Saturday 14th August - 11am to 8pm
  • Sunday 15th August - 10:30am to 4pm
  • Monday 16th August - 10am to 7pm

Vaccinators will take over the first floor fitting rooms at the store and run them as vaccination pods. People who haven't had both doses of their covid vaccine are being urged to attend the clinic before rules change for those who are double jabbed over the next month. On Monday 16th August, people who’ve had two doses won't have to self-isolate when they come into contact with a positive case, and nightclub entry restrictions are fast approaching in September.

Helen Gyves, a senior NHS nurse from Birmingham said: “We are so pleased to be working with Primark to offer vaccinations to shoppers. COVID-19 isn’t going away, but getting a jab couldn’t be easier. Visit us at Primark from Friday until Monday, or search ‘Birmingham COVID vaccination’ to find the nearest vaccination centre to you. There really is no better time to have your vaccination.”

Neil Ford, Director of Sales at Primark UK said: “Wherever we can, we try to support important local community initiatives, especially in Birmingham where our largest store in the world is located! We’re delighted to be involved in this initiative to play our part in supporting the work of the NHS by hosting the vaccination clinic in our Birmingham store this weekend, making it even easier for people to get their vaccine.”
