A Worcestershire doctor who runs a women's health clinic says it's important women know where they can access support when it comes to the menopause.

VHK Women’s Health in Bromsgrove was set-up in 2022 by doctors Heidi Kerr and Victoria Hobbs to provide treatment and advice from doctors specialising in treatment of menopause symptoms.

Today (18 October) is World Menopause day, which aims to shine a spotlight on the transition, and Dr Hobbs says it's vital women have all the information they need to understand what is going on with their bodies.

She said: "One of the most important things is for women to understand where they can access help from.

"By giving them an opportunity to talk about it, to understand how the symptoms might impact them and also talk about different treatment options, it then gives them the ability to make informed decisions about their health.

"Days like today gives people across the world and within the UK an opportunity to talk about menopause openly in society, and to help raise the awareness of the menopausal transition for women and also for men supporting women through menopause."

Last month the clinic got their first Care Quality Commission (CQC) report since starting, receiving an outstanding rating.
