Serious crash in south Worcestershire
The air ambulance charity attended the incident near the M50 yesterday evening

Two older people have been seriously injured, after a two car crash in south Worcestershire.
The crash happened on the B4211, near the turn for Pipers End, just to the south of the M50.
Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity from Strensham, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and the Great Western Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews found two cars that had suffered significant front end damage.
“An elderly woman from the first car was extricated by firefighters. She had suffered multiple serious injuries. After assessment and treatment at the scene, she was airlifted by the Stensham aircraft to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
“An elderly man had also suffered multiple serious injuries. He was taken to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol by ambulance with the Great Western enhanced care team travelling with the ambulance crew.
“A man in the second car was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital with potentially serious injuries.”
