Search for person in River Severn near Diglis in third day
Operations began on Tuesday.
Searches are in their third day on the River Severn in Diglis after reports someone entered the water.
Emergency services were called just after quarter-past-ten to Severn Street on Tuesday after reports someone entered the water.
Today, the police cordon has been put back in place.
Along with an increased police presence and a specialist search and rescue vehicle from South Wales is also on the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries and searches are continuing this morning following a report yesterday that someone had entered the river in the Diglis area of Worcester. We will provide further updates when we are able to.”
Officers have put out an appeal for a woman named Harriet Davies who was last seen yesterday in the Diglis area, which police say is potentially forming a line of enquiry.
