Hereford murder probe: Family's heartfelt tribute to dad with 'the biggest heart'
Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail while searches of the river continued
The family of a Hereford dad whose body was found in the river Wye this week have paid tribute to him.
Sean Day's family have said he was a much-loved son and father who had “the biggest heart”.
His body was recovered from the Wye near Bishop’s Meadow on Wednesday after more than a week of searches and three people being arrested on suspicion of his murder.
West Mercia Police said formal identification has now taken place, with the 29-year-old was last seen at around midnight on Saturday 29th July.
Sean’s mother, on behalf of his family, said: “A tribute for my beautiful son, Sean Anthony Keith John Gerald Day. Sean was loved by so many people, such a loving father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.
“He touched so many people’s hearts and he always had a big beautiful smile.
“He was a loveable rogue but he was my loveable rogue. Sean had the biggest heart and the most gorgeous blue eyes.
"Sean was the life and soul of any party and he loved to rave. It’s such a cruel world for him to be taken so young.
“Thank you for everyone’s kind messages and continuing support at this very sad time.
“Sean will be missed but never forgotten.”
Enquires into his death are ongoing, with the three people arrested released on bail.
