Two children taken to hospital following crash in Herefordshire

West Mercia Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a collision in Herefordshire on Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened in Pontrilas on the A465 near Llangua Bridge at around 3:55pm according to the police, when a Mitsubushi ASX 2 collided with a Peugeot 208 after veering from the northbound carriageway and onto the southbound side.

A man in his 80s who was the driver of the Mitsubishi, and a passenger aged in her 70s, were taken to hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the Peugeot and a passenger who are both in their 40s, were taken to hospital via air ambulance with serious injuries.

Two children who were in the same vehicle, aged eight and 12, were also taken to hospital for further treatment via ambulance.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has dash-cam footage, is asked to contact the police and PC Fiona Loftus.
