West Mercia Police has released a CCTV image of two people it wants to speak to, after a hate crime in Redditch.

Officers believe they may be able to help with inquiries into a racially aggravated assault that happened on 22 July around 4.45pm.

The victim was on the number 57/58 Diamond bus which was on Church Hill Way, when she was subject to a racist verbal assault by a man and women. This was followed by them spitting at the victim and then hitting her.

PC Bednall said: “We take all reports of hate crime very seriously, no-one should be targeted for being themselves and we never underestimate the devastating effect being a victim of a hate crime can have on people.

“I know this incident happened some time ago, but I’d ask you to cast your mind back and if you have any information about the incident or know who the two people are in the pictures, I urge you to contact me”.
