West Mercia Police are appealing for information after a boy was bitten by a dog as he walked along Wilden Lane in Stourport.

Around 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon (24 August) the boy was crossing the railway tracks on Wilden Lane when he stopped to allow a man and dog cross. As the dog passed the boy it bit his leg.

The man and dog then continued to walk off without checking the welfare of the boy.

He has recovered from his injuries.

The man is described as white, bald, with a white beard and in his early 50s. The dog was a large breed and black.

Officers investigating the incident would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man and dog that afternoon or for anybody to come forward with information that would help with their enquiries.
