Hereford could have a new dentist’s surgery under newly-released plans.

Worcester-based AMH Healthcare has applied for a change of use to part of the Saxon Hall Putson Community Centre to the south of the city.

Its application (number 240283) seeks permission for a change from “leisure” use, which includes community halls, to medical and health use.

Plans with the application show two community rooms, a meeting / changing room, kitchen and toilet being converted into three treatment rooms, a reception area, staff room, storage room and “decon” (decontamination) room.

The service would open between 8.30am and 6pm weekdays.

The rest of the hall would be unchanged, and there would be no external changes to the building or to its 54 car parking spaces.

The area has seen considerable new housebuilding in recent years.

Comments on the application can be submitted until March 5.
