Officers will be in Redditch this evening (Friday 21 June) to offer reassurance to the public following an incident where someone was stabbed outside the Park Inn public house on Friday 14 June.

Officers will be in the car park of Southcrest Evangelical church on Plymouth Road from 6pm – 8pm this evening, where members of the public are invited to come and discuss any concerns with them.

Inspector Richard Field, of the safer neighbourhood team in Redditch, said: “I know that this incident caused a lot of concern locally and, although we’ve reassured you through our messages on social media, nothing beats speaking to an officer face-to-face. That’s why we’ve arranged for officers to be at the church tonight to so that you can pop down and discuss any concerns with them.

“It will also be a good opportunity to discuss any information you may have that would help with our enquiries into what happened that evening”.

Following the incident two men, aged 35 and 19 and one boy, aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They remain on bail whilst the investigation continues.
